ImagExplorer

Description

ImagExplorer is a small utility for browsing the images on your computer. It stems from a time that I was at the house of some friends, trying to find a free program on the Internet that would allow them to preview many images at one time. They had several clipart discs, each with thousands of images, and previewing each one individually to find the one they wanted would have take millenia. They needed a small program to allow them to preview a bunch of thumbnails at once and pick the image they wanted. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything that fit the description. So, I (being the brave programmer that I am) decided to create a program to fulfill the need.

Current EXE Version #: 1.0.0

Target Platforms: Win95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP (has been tested only under Win95/98/XP)

Download

The download is available in two ways: as a ZIP and as a self-extracting EXE. If you don't know how to unzip and move files, just download the EXE (the first link) to your computer and double-click on it. Click "Unzip" in the window that opens and ImagExplorer will automatically be installed in C:\Program Files\ImagExplorer.

Visual Basic icon  NOTE: This project may require an extra file to work. If you are receiving errors when trying to launch this application, make sure that you have the following file in your \Windows\System directory before sending in an error report:

If you are missing the above file, click on the link to download a self-extracting version of it.
